There are so many ways to harvest herbs, I choose to do it the old school way: with my bare hands and in small batches 🤲🏾 yes, your hands get super dry but it’s the earthing that makes it so special. The process to get to this point is a long one but it’s what truly makes our products one of a kind 🌿 We pick the herbs from the farm at @cultivala1 , we then wash them, dry them, hang them. After 2 weeks, we take them down and placed them in our containers while praying and thanking them for their medicine and healing 🌿 and this takes anywhere from 1-3 hours depending on how much herbs I need. Allow me to reintroduce myself ✊🏽 for my new followers and supporters 💐 My name is Mayra Ramirez, a proud #Chapina, wife, mama, first-gen everything, founder and formulator of #MadeInRadiance which are also my initials. Inspired by my Guatemalan culture and my #Mayan ancestry of the Central Am diaspora- MIR was born. Nothing is EVER readily available in South Central that’s healthy, nontoxic, and safe to consume by familias and their children and everything healthy or low- tox is too expensive for people who grew up like me. I remember my mom would always have her cremitas de rite-aid on her night stand and would wear it with pride everyday with no makeup telling me “cuídate tu carita- que es lo que todo el mundo ve” and that we did with what we had. I started MIR with the goal to give my mami a good skin care moisturizer that would reduce her face manchas and one that will give her nutrients and antioxidants she needed daily & the rest is history. We exist for all the mamis, daughters, sons, fathers etc who want a good-quality skincare product, who are minimalistic in their routines, and who can trust that they are putting nutrients in their bodies.
